July 3 THUNDER COVER hails from Sacramento and is one of the most energetic and fun cover bands you will ever see. Be prepared for a high energy show and a unique set that features some of the biggest hits of all time. Everything from The Beatles to Foo Fighters. From Michael Jackson to Maroon 5. From Tom Petty to Justin Timberlake. From The Eagles to Nirvana.

July10 MUMBO GUMBO can best be described as a spicy blend of Gulf Coast with musical influences of: Zydeco, Cajun, 2nd line, Tex-Mex, Boogie-Woogie and Latin/ African…a true festive sound. This eight-piece band tours Northern California and features red-hot vocals, accordion, washboard, swamp guitar, boogie piano, a rock solid rhythm section, a powerful saxophone section, and occasional fiddle/mandolin. In addition, a variety of percussion instruments flavors their New Orleans salsa and drives Mumbo Gumbo's lively dance beats. You definitely won’t sit this one out.

July 17 DAVID JOHN and THE COMSTOCK COWBOYS choose not to travel the crowded highway where music is destined to change at the whim of each generation. Their music is timeless and speaks to all. They perform original music, written by David John, as well as powerful songs about America, when our moral values were honest and strong. In their unique style, they sing about Cowboys, Horses, Soldiers, The Old West, and Nature...at its’ grandest. This true Cowboy Band hails from Virginia City, Nevada

July 24 TWO WAY STREET…this band is a “must see” from Reno, Nevada. Jimmy Campanaro is a seasoned veteran having started in 1980 playing rock clubs and cabarets featuring a tribute to The Beatles where he played the role of John Lennon; now touring and band leader for the National Rodeo Circuit …Ricky and the Redstreaks. This “Must See” band, with Latisha Lewis, cleans up the stage with showmanship and audience rapport making it a one of a kind Magical Variety Performance for all ages.

July 31 SHARK SANDWICH leads you to sink your teeth into great entertainment. This band spans eight decades of pop, jazz, oldies, reggae, surf’n, classic rock and dance tunes. You’ve seen them before at this Bandshell, and, they are certainly worth an encore.

Aug. 6 TOM RIGNEY and FLAMBEAU is the King here at LACC. This Band returns year after year for very good reasons…which you will find out, if you have never heard them before. Flambeau specializes in fiery Cajun and Zydeco, two-steps, low-down blues, funky New Orleans grooves, and beautiful ballads and waltzes that will break your heart. This band could tear the roof off or maybe knock all the pine needles off the trees. Rigney’s Irish roots makes their musical gumbo that much tastier. Their high-energy definitely draws the audience into their performance like you are a part of the music and the show.

Aug. 13 JIMI JAMES BAND comes to you again from El Cerrito, California. Having years of experience on the stage, television, cruise ships and more, you may have even seen them at your State or County Fair. Playing Classic Rock, Blues and Country; and performing excellent vocals. In his spare time, Jimi does music therapy for the elderly.

Aug. 20 BOB MORA and THE THIRD DEGREE BLUES BAND features excellent Blues from the Nevada City area. From Bob, you will hear hot Bluesy harmonica, vocals and even the harp, having learned this music in Chicago as a teenager. This band features guitar, keyboards, Bass, a rock solid drummer and topped off with a terrific sax player.

Aug. 27 JIM SHOE & THE SNEAKERS have a blast playing 50’s &60’s music. Joey Carmon took a side trip from his original Reno band to play for Hot August Nights. You will have memories of poodle skirts,drive in theatres and 19 cent burgers. Chantilly Lace and Hand Jive will get you dancing and tapping your toes. Picture Elvis, The Beach Boys…and more from this great era.

Sept. 4 NORTHERN TRADITIONZ has returned to closeout this great summer of concerts on a definite high note! This is a Chico band of friends and co-workers that also play and have fun together. A mix of Country Rock with a flare of their own special Reggae Blend kind of music…you know this band is HOT!!!

All are welcome. No fee within HOA Membership – Donations appreciated.

Outside Entrance Gate: Clifford Drive. Fee charged.

Come early and bring your dinner fixings. Picnic area is open. BBQ's are fired up.

Great Raffle Prizes at each of the 10 concerts. Be sure to buy your raffle tickets on concert night.

These items along with program advertising and your donations are the only supporting revenue of the annual Lake Almanor Summer Concert Series. No funds are drawn from the LACC General Fund to support the music program. Your support has kept the music playing since the late 1970’s and in the Bandshell since 1987.
